MailGo Cloud Inbox collects the absolute minimum data required to operate the service:

Email content — stored only on your self-hosted server
Email metadata (sender, subject, timestamp) — for inbox functionality
Email addresses you generate — for address management

We do NOT collect:

No IP address logging
No browser fingerprinting
No tracking cookies
No third-party analytics (no Google Analytics)
No user identification or profiles

🔒 Data Storage & Security

All data is stored in MongoDB, which you control entirely. Since MailGo is self-hosted, all emails reside on your own server.

You can configure:

Data retention policies via MongoDB TTL indexes
Encryption at rest (configure MongoDB encryption)
Access controls and authentication
Backup and disaster recovery

🛡️ Third-Party Sharing

MailGo does not share any data with third parties. There are no ads, no trackers, and no affiliate programs. When self-hosted, you are the sole owner of all data.

📜 GDPR & Compliance

Since MailGo is self-hosted, you are the data controller. This makes GDPR compliance straightforward:

Data stays on your infrastructure
You can implement data deletion policies
You control access and audit logs
No cross-border data transfer concerns (data never leaves your server)

📧 Cookies

MailGo does not use any cookies. The application is stateless and does not track user sessions.
